Tailor-made Belize Tours 2026, 2027 & 2028

Belize is the only English-speaking nation in Central America. It is the gateway to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef—the largest coral system in the Northern Hemisphere. It is a country of extreme proximity, where you can snorkel the 124-metre-deep Great Blue Hole in the morning and explore the 43-metre-high Maya temples of Caracol by afternoon. Belize is defined by a low-density “Go Slow” philosophy and a geography that is 40% protected by national parks and marine reserves.

Why Travel to Belize?

Belize Barrier Reef

The 300-kilometre reef system features over 100 coral species and the 124-metre-deep Great Blue Hole, a vertical sinkhole containing 15-metre-long submerged stalactites. At Hol Chan Marine Reserve, the Shark Ray Alley enables shallow-water encounters with nurse sharks and southern stingrays. The reef’s 450 cayes, such as Ambergris Caye, sit atop a limestone shelf, and have some of the Caribbean’s highest concentrations of West Indian manatees and hawksbill turtles.

Ancient Maya Cities

Caracol remains the largest archaeological site in Belize, centred on the 43-metre-high Caana (Sky Palace) pyramid, which is still one of the country’s tallest man-made structures. Near the New River Lagoon, Lamanai features temples with 4-metre-high limestone masks, while Altun Ha is famous for the discovery of the Jade Head, the largest carved jade object from the Maya world. These sites were major trade hubs between 200 BCE and 900 CE.

Inland Caves & Forests

Western Belize is defined by a vast karst landscape of limestone caves used for 9th-century rituals. The Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave requires swimming into a mountain to view the Crystal Maiden—a calcified skeletal remain—and intact Maya ceramics. Nearby, the Barton Creek Cave is explored by canoe through a 7-kilometre underground river system, while the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve has granite pools and the 45-metre Big Rock Falls.
